Hi, It's Puneet
In our last class on Friday we learned some trigonometric equations.
The General Solutions of Trigonometric Equations are...
  • Not bound by an interval
  • Have unlimited coterminal answers
  • To each solution for sinΘ or cosΘ add 360°k for degrees or 2kπ for radians
  • To each solution for tanΘ add 180°k for degrees or kπ for radians
  • Include with every answer: where k
  • k accounts for all positive an negative coterminal integers

We learned the following equations:

secΘ=\scriptstyle \sqrt{2}
secΘ=45°+360°
Θ = 360°-45°=315°+360°
where kEI
Θ=45°+360°k,315°+360°
Θ=π/4+2kπ,7π/4+2kπ whera kEI

tanΘ=1/√3
tanΘ=30+180k
Q4=30+180k=210+180 where kEI
[π/6+2πk] [7π/6+2πk]
